LR084 Senior Big Data Microservices Engineer

Senior Big Data Microservices Engineer oversee the activities of lower-level data engineers, ensuring proper execution of their duties in accomplishing the visions and objectives of the business. Provides a senior-level contribution to a team that is responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of the business’s data platforms. The Senior Data Engineer owns and extends the business’s data pipeline through the collection, storage, processing, and use of large data-sets. He implements strategies directed at acquiring data and promoting the development of new insights across the business. The Senior Data Engineering plays an analytical role where he develops and manages scalable data processing platforms that he uses for exploratory data analysis and real-time analytics. It is also the role of the Senior Data Engineer to oversee, design, and develop algorithms for real-time data processing within the business and to create the frameworks that enable quick and efficient data acquisition. The Senior Data Engineer has the responsibility of contributing to the continual improvement of the business’s data platforms through his observations and well-researched knowledge. Keeps track of industry best practices and trends and through his acquired knowledge, takes advantage of process and system improvement opportunities. Their goal is to solve a messy problem elegantly and cost-effectively, to collect, categorize and analyze lots of semi-structured data from lots of sources. May have a B.sc in computer science and solid understanding of AWS, Linux, RDMS AND SQL. Provides support to data management teams on all complex technical issues; including training for all employees of the microservices data development and the implementation of unit tests on each adopted data management infrastructure. Builds and maintains conceptual and logical data models for the organization; conducting data model assessments for strategic data entities to help data owners to address data gaps. Help to improve business results through data solution initiatives.
