LR042 Java Engineer II

Java Engineer II, under adequate guidance, is responsible for interpreting and transcribing product specifications into software architecture used in web and mobile Java applications. Develop and code software to sufficiently meet the requirements of one or more Java components or systems. Carry out code integration, documentation, and tests to ensure proper utilization of programmed hardware and software products. Responsible for integrating a wide variety of applications from various sources and ensures they meet performance standards for stability and resource utilization. Able to develop and code Java applications in compliance with accepted processes and standards for development. Conducts design reviews and creates test plans to ensure optimum quality and stability of codes. Applies solid design principles in performing code reviews, thereby improving code quality. Exhibit end-to-end ownership of a feature/task/bug. Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to ensure services are delivered on time and at optimum quality. Debugs and troubleshoots software codes. May have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, Mathematics, or any other related field, with 5-7 years of experience working as a Java engineer. Experienced in using deployment and software delivery technologies such as CMake. Has the ability to understand problem statement and project requirements, and implement scalable solutions. Conversant with Java programming language along with API (Application Program Interface), and experienced in developing and deploying distributed cloud-based Java applications. Has proven ability to develop, inspect, and manipulate XSDs, XML, and WSDLs. Experienced using SOAP-based web services (implementation, WS-Security, and interface definition) and certain scripting languages like Ruby and JavaScript. Familiar with JavaScript frameworks such as DOJO, jQuery, Backbone.js, or AngularJS. Present empathic focus on user needs and demands, using excellent interpersonal and soft skills in solving complex user software problems. Displays great dedication to understanding and mastering new tools, technologies, and methods.
