Microservices Security Engineer I, is responsible for planning, implementing, developing, and maintaining general software security using various software security strategies, testing methods, and techniques. Conducts security review and code testing to improve microservice security. Enforces security policies and ensures compliance with the requirements of security audits and recommendations. Responsible for the administration and implementation of network security on systems software products. Help to develop a set of security standards and practices. Crafts new ways to troubleshoot and solve apparent microservices software security issues and recommends security enhancements to management. Assists with processing and installation of new security products and procedures. Carries out scanning of networks to find vulnerabilities while monitoring networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions. Takes charge of the organization’s information security strategy. Recommends alterations in technical, legal, and regulatory areas and educate staff members on information security through awareness and training. Conducts penetration testing and installing software that assists with notification of intrusions. Leads investigations into how security breaches happen and reports discoveries to management. Tests security solutions using production standard criteria and look out for irregular security system behavior. Work with the engineering team to adopt security installation tools, such as firewalls and data encryption programs. Bachelor’s degree in Computer engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical field. Excellent communication skills and administrative knowledge. Have 2-5 years of experience as a system/microservices software security engineer. Has strong expertise with several software security paradigms, including BSIMM, MSSDL, and CSSLP. Proven analytical and technical expertise with a focus on identifying and alleviating the root cause of security problems to help solve problems. Proven proficiency to solve and respond to regular demands of multiple constituents, both internal and external, in high demand, customer-centric environment. Report directly to upper management.
