Microservices Security Engineer II, under proper supervision, is responsible for screening and testing software, networks, systems security for intrusion or breaches in microservices-based systems. Detects, troubleshoots, and resolves possible causes of security threats early on by looking at things from a security perspective and suggesting enhancements to the senior staffs or management. Protects the company against potential security threats and unauthorized access from outside sources. Analyze security systems and seek improvements on a continuous basis. Research and report possible threats, weaknesses, or software issues, and find ways to eliminate them. Find and develop cost-effective solutions to microservices security problems. Understands software, hardware, and internet needs while fine-tuning them according to business environment and requirements. Develop best practices and security standards that microservices engineers can follow to ensure a more secured and reliable microservices system. Builds and install software systems that help with the signaling of security breaches and intrusions. Help to design and develop automation scripts to track and take care of incidents. Generally, plan the organization’s information security strategy by educating staff members on information security through seminars and awareness. Work closely with product owners, IT teams, and solution architects to comprehend business objectives. Define security requirements, and implement application and data security solutions to meet business objectives, and comply with corporate and regulatory requests. Recommends adjustment in technical, legal, and regulatory areas. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer engineering computer science, computer engineering, physics, mathematics, or any other relevant technical field. Has 5-7 years of experience in system/microservices security. Possesses general knowledge of full-stack engineering using programming and scripting languages such as Javascript, Java, PowerShell .NET, C#, Python, and Angular. Specialist in performing manual secured code review in .NET Angular for MVC or SPA type applications. Has proven experience with securing web applications specifically for cloud-hosting environments, e.g., Azure, AWS. Has working knowledge of application security frameworks and standards such as OWASP and NIS. Performs tests on organizational software, firmware, and firewalls.
