LR068 Senior Microservices DevSecOps Engineer

The Senior Microservices DevSecOps Engineer works under supervision alongside other DevOps engineers to assess and remediate security vulnerabilities during software development. Instruct other personnel about security automation and software security scalability using DevSecOps regulations and principles. Monitor the software security setting and oversee the testing and documentation of the software development process. Promote teamwork with other software developers and ensure professionalism to ensure the timely release of a secured software. DevSecOps can use GitHub, GitLab, CircleCI, CI/CD, or other developer tools. Apply problem-solving skills as a project requires and possess multi-tasking skills to adapt to a demanding environment with a possibility of multiple projects at a time. Possess knowledge on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other cloud-based security systems. Automate operational processes effectively and in accordance with the security requirements. May possess two to five years working experience in the field with a degree in a relevant technical course like computer engineering or computer science. May possess practical certifications from Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or Cisco. Can support a number of software languages and product team by adapting, adjusting, and modifying new CI/CD pipelines. Improve, modify, and troubleshoot security threats or vulnerabilities by working with members of other software development teams. Conversant and current with Jenkins, Ansible, JIRA, Vagrant, Puppet, or any other DevOps configuration management tools. Possess proficiency in one of the modern programs such as Big Data (Accumulo, Apache Solr), Data Science (Python, scalar, etc.), or web framework (Javascript – React or Node JS). Have excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Communicate to organizational leaders the importance of adequate DevSecOps infrastructure to organizational efficiency and satisfaction of customers. Have the ability to handle and protect confidential information. Ensure vision alignment between DevSecOps activities and organizational goals.
