System Reliability Engineer I, under adequate monitoring, instigates and develops analytical approaches to ascertain the reliability of system components, a developmental process, an equipment, or a product. System Reliability Engineer I, works collaboratively with other members of the production team to track and develop a plan to reduce or eliminate production losses through root cause analysis. Obtains and analyzes data of the production plan and helps to facilitate its implementation. Formulates charts, diagrams, calculations drawings, and compile reports to define reliability challenges and make references for improvements. Conducts analysis of reliability problems and carry out an investigation to determine the required reliability methodology for a certain situation. Determines the cost of alternatives and develops action plans that comply with internal/external end-user requirements for reliable processes/components to eliminate failures. Provides effort to a risk management plan that will get ahead of any reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could unfavorably affect system operation. Executes routine engineering controls that involve simple assessments on less-complicated system details where ingenuity and high-level judgment are not required. Provides technical backing to production, maintenance executives, and technical staff. May have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other relevant course with 2-5 years of professional experience. Has extensive understanding of reliability practices and procedures. Has knowledge of reliability principles, including vibration analysis, failure modes, and effects analysis (FMEA), thermography, lubrication, and tribology. Experienced with workflow management and the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) in the development of end-user products. Analytical and statistical skills required to analyze the effectiveness and use of PdM and KPIs data. Other skills include verbal and written communication good organization, problem-solving and decision making.
